Things that have moved me or peaked my interest

Ok, I've been so driven for knowledge... I've been reading anything I can get my hands on, writing in my journal, listening to all types of music, and even taken some time for my art!

You may notice the new link to the book called The Last Lecture. I watched the entire last lecture Achieving Your Childhood Dreams by Randy Pausch. It is just so beautiful that no words from me could ever do it justice. Take time and watch it....it is 1hr 25min you won't regret it!!!

I found new favorite website from an email from Ellen C. Braun (the lady who sends out the raising small souls newsletter). Which led me to TED: Ideas worth spreading. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It was started to bring people from the 3 together. They have an annual conference that brings together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes). I must say some do not interest me and some I disagree with but they are all thought provoking.

I am reading A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and studing the class with Oprah and the author. It runs along the line of the way I was raised. It just is what it is..... for me it has been a beautiful read. I have learned much and continued to be moved by the number of others who feel the same.

I've been reading about people with their dream jobs. This has come to me in many different forms: magazines, emails from friends, a section in the web site of US Today. I have been searching trying to figure out what my dream job would be for the future. Then it occured to me that it is of little importance because right now I have my dream job!!! In the PRESENT, I am content... and to worry about what my dream job down the road will be...hell... that's gonna be revealed when it is . BUT still in reading about the amazing people doing what they love, I feel ignited by their passion which will.... I am sure... only add to my life and my now!

My beautiful children continue to amaze me.... their wonder, their thirst for knowledge ("what's this? Why? HOW? When?"), the beauty they find in the smallest of things, sweet kisses, smelly hugs, and belly laughs..... I have much to learn from them!

Disney Trip

I must say that we had the best trip ever!!! The kids were so well behaved. We played most days from sun up till 11:30 at night with a nap in the middle. We were all awed by the Magic of Walt Disney. I loved watching how the kids lit up from almost everything. It was great family time. The girls were a huge help and were troopers as far as walking miles a day!
