Some of the Girl's Costumes over the years

"It's hard being the Princess...but one day I'll be the Queen!"

Princesses wear crowns to remind them that they are smart and beautiful because some days it's easy to forget. ~ Author Unknown

I think, at a child's birth, if a mother could ask a fairy godmother to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift would be curiosity. ~Eleanor Roosevelt

A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future. ~Author Unknown

What I wanted most for my daughter was that she be able to soar confidently in her own sky, whatever that may be. ~Helen Claes

"A playful path is the shortest road to Happiness!"

"Every child is born blessed with a vivid imagination. But just as a muscle grows flabby with disuse, so the bright imagination of a child pales in later years if he ceases to exercise it." ~Walt Disney

Even Super Heros fall down.....

My little super hero was having the "Bestest Day Ever" yesterday! (According to him)
Poor little guys day did not end so well! They were out riding bikes. Someone decided it would be fun to play chase on bikes...... BAD IDEA! Being new at riding a 2 wheeler and checking over his shoulder, he flew straight over the handle bars and SMACKED the concrete! OUCH!
We are lucky it was not worse just a bloody elbow, busted lip, bruised gums and a couple of wiggly teeth.

My six year old is trying to grow his hair out.... he wants to be like his Cool BIG Cousin :) Anyway, he insist on fixing his hair every morning for school. Below is what I called "The Donald" it stayed this way ALL day.... how wet it looks is from gel!

Lesley-Anne

This picture of Lesley and I hangs upstairs at my dad's house. Seeing it everyday, reminds me how blessed I have been by our friendship. It seems like yesterday we first met in the bathroom at NCS. Anyway, I could never adequately put in words how much she means to me!

Lesley-Anne, we need a more recent picture taken of us! LOVE YOU~ Beth-Anne

Is it already October?

Well, I haven't completely dropped off the face of the earth..... but it has felt like it quite a bit the past month or so!!!!! Where to start?!?!?

For about 5 weeks I was down with an awful respiratory cold. (Anne, I love to share things with ya but this was not one :) Thankfully, I am much better! Get this..... when I went to the Dr I had gained 14lbs.....UGGGGHHHH. And it really was that fast..... all the sudden nothing fit. No worries though, I am working out again.

Kids are doing great! Loving school and having fun here at our temporary house (thanks Tammy & Dad)! They have made many friends. It is amazing the school teaches much the same way the elementary I attended years ago. Not real sure how I feel about it. They are REALLY intense! Thankfully, the dyslexic program is seeming really good. MAN, I MISS HAYS CISD! I know that there has been much discussion about Math investigations but my kids have slipped into the Simple Math here quite easily....... truthfully I dislike that my first grader isn't learning the MI way. Anyway, this is a process and they have a long way to go..... I am confident things are working as they should!

Last week, my Grandy had a heart attack. So needless to say I spent the week in the hospital. He ended up having a double bypass. He has good days and he has bad ones. The man is amazing before the heart attack he at 85 was walking 3 miles a day, working in the garden, and taking care of his land. I have full confidence that he will recover and be back out working the rest of us!

Happy Belated Birthday, DAX!

You are my best friend and I can't imagine the world without you!

I love you so much! Let's make this next year tons of fun!
