to find joy in the simple things!

Long wait

Getting stopped by trains always reminds me of living in Kyle and the boy's excitement when it would happen. Finding the joy in the little things... My kids have always taught me so much. Thankful for these reminders.

4th of July

We spent this 4th of July by waking early to watch the parade in the neighborhood! My sister and her kids came over and joined in the fun with us. The kids swam! Emma and De ended up staying at the party and hanging with friend all day. They ended up getting a little sunburned.... yikes. Dax made Raise-the-roof Sweet Potato-Vegetable Lasagna from the Engine 2 Diet book. It was the BEST lasagna I've ever had...no meat and no cheese and still mouth watering!!! That evening we went to my brother's House and watched fireworks. They kids swam some more. Dax and I enjoyed chatting with Danny and Stacey.

My handsome nephew

 We saw SANTA!
 Leah and Will very patriotic!
 The girls with their friends!

My Mother's Day

Blessed, loved, moved, happy, peaceful..........
after this weekend I could go on and on..... I am overwhelmed with wonderful feelings inside of me! It is amazing that nothing I received was of great expense but was worth more that anything money could buy. First off, when I got home on Friday mine and Dax's room had been cleaned spotless. This is a huge deal because our room is generally the catch-all for the whole houses mess.
"Dax gets huge brownie points for this one!!!" Each of the kids gave me gifts made at school... a recipe book, painted pot and flower pens, photo with a handmade frame, hand print with a sweet poem, potted plants and tons of thoughtful cards. They were so proud and full of so much love..... WOW!

Today is a most unusual day, because we have never lived it before; we will never live it again; it is the only day we have. ~William Arthur Ward

Being Childish.........

The word childish as defined by Merriam-Webster Online dictionary is of, relating to, or befitting a child or childhood. The other day one of my kids had a teacher tell her she was acting "Childish" and to act more like an adult after being hurt. The teacher apologized coming up with a back peddle that she had not been addressing my child but another (*NOTE: much younger) one!!!! Who was acting VERY childish! (LAUGHABLE when looking at the definition) We accepted the apology because my child felt happy with it and because other teachers were made aware... eyes will be on her.

Divas, dogs and babies

We celebrated our little divas birthday last Friday! Wow, what a blast! 11 little girls all dressed up being super girlie and proud ;) I am glad that I didn't have to clean up after it. We had it at this cool place: http://www.mypartypalace.com/home!

Today, I took all four kids and the puppy to the Vet. Ahhhhhhhh..... we were only there forty minutes but it felt like an eternity :) They were well behaved BUT the are children after all. To make it worse I had a bit of sticker shock $90 for a check up and 2 shots! MAN, I should be a vet..........
I keep saying I want to adopt another baby, Dax says he would like to have a little money left at the end of a pay period............... there is something to that :)
Check out my Things I want to do before my next B-day under my b-day picture. I am sure I will add more and hopefully cross most off by next year!!!!

The Agganator! 3 is so fun & hard ;)

I love the way kids minds work!
My three year old has decided to call the new dog who's name is Aggie, "Agganator"! HE sounds like Daddy!
Jealous of my friends attention to another "baby", he leaned in between the two and annouced "I have so much to tell you!" And followed by it by giving a long lecture about anything that came to mind! My old soul/ my little old man!

" I am BORED!"

HA

oh NO......

Not ME!!!!!
But my kids actually have the NERVE to say this every now and then! Summer is well under way and we never stop. We have had camps, B-days, swimming at the pool, more pool time and more, and VBS. It never stops :)
I just wish we fit a fuel efficient car or could afford a newer one at least!!!
